Aquiles Neuenschwander
Aquiles Neuenschwander is a forest engineer from the University of Chile, member of the Chilean delegation to the UNFCCC since 1998 in COP 4, as a permanent participant in the Working Group on LULUCF at SBSTA since 1999 and, at present, is engaged in the negotiations on REDD plus. He is an expert reviewer on LULUCF sector of National GHG Inventories of Annex 1 Parties, under the UNFCCC Secretariat.
He has participated in several forestry projects of FAO, as Chief Technical Adviser in Nicaragua and Honduras between 1982 and 1992, and has been forest consultant on the forest laws of Nicaragua, Ecuador and Costa Rica under AID, IDB and other national institutions.
At the national level, is a forestry consultant of private and public institutions on issues related with forestry policy, forest management, afforestation and reforestation project activities under the CDM, and biomass projects.
