biocarbon consult is a non-incorporated company founded in January 2007 by political scientist and socio-economist Michael Dutschke.

Rather than a traditional company, biocarbon consult is a network of associate experts in the fields of land use and bioenergy, based all over the world. This allows the company to pull together the best available expertise in respective task forces, and offer region and country specific service. biocarbon consult’s clients are companies, non-governmental and intergovernmental organizations, and governments. Services include institution building and capacity development, mitigation and adaptation portfolio analysis, mitigation-project related services, independent expert statements, negotiation strategies, project & methodology review, and post-2012 policy advice. In the field of development policies, biocarbon consult engages in climate proofing of ODA projects, and working in the overlaps between climate and other multilateral environmental agreements.
